Register Online
Ohio residents can register to vote online at olvr.ohio.gov. You'll need your Ohio driver's license or state ID. Registration deadline: 30 days before the election.
Register by Mail
Print the Ohio Voter Registration Form at ohiosos.gov and mail it to the Huron County Board of Elections. Must be postmarked by the registration deadline.
Check Your Registration
Verify that you are registered and your address is current at voterlookup.ohiosos.gov. If you've moved, update your address before the deadline.
Who Can Register?
U.S. citizen / Ohio resident / At least 18 years old on election day / Not declared incompetent / No felony sentence currently being served (Ohio law).
Find Your Polling Place
Bellevue voters are assigned a polling location based on their address. Find your polling place at vote411.org or contact the Huron County Board of Elections. Most Bellevue precincts vote at City Hall or other public buildings. Polls open 6:30 AM – 7:30 PM on Election Day.
What to Bring
Ohio requires an acceptable form of ID to vote: Ohio driver's license / state ID (preferred), a utility bill, bank statement, paycheck, or government document with your name and current address. Photo ID is preferred but not always required — check current Ohio law as requirements may change.

Any Ohio voter can request an absentee ballot for any reason. Request your absentee ballot from the Huron County Board of Elections by mail, fax, or in person. Deadline: 3 days before Election Day. Return by Election Day.
Early In-Person Voting
Ohio offers early in-person voting starting 28 days before Election Day at the Huron County Board of Elections, 180 Milan Ave, Norwalk. No ID different from regular voting — same rules apply.
Military & Overseas Voting (UOCAVA)
Military members, their families, and overseas voters have expanded absentee rights. Contact the Huron County BOE or visit fvap.gov for information.
Drop Box
Ohio law allows one official ballot drop box per county. Huron County's official drop box is located at the Board of Elections, 180 Milan Ave, Norwalk. Available during early voting hours.
