Bellevue City Cemetery is located on Cherry Blvd, Bellevue, OH 44811. The grounds are open during daylight hours. Parking available at the main entrance. The cemetery is well-maintained by the City of Bellevue.
Visiting Hours
Open daily from sunrise to sunset. No admission fee. Visitors are asked to remain on paved paths and roads within the cemetery. Please treat the grounds and all memorials with respect.

History of the Cemetery
The Bellevue City Cemetery traces its origins to Bellevue's earliest years as a settlement in the early 1800s. As the city grew into a railroad hub, the cemetery expanded to reflect Bellevue's civic character — with sections dedicated to founding families, veterans of multiple American conflicts, and the immigrant communities who built the railroad economy.
- Oldest recorded burials date to the 1840s and 1850s
- Veterans sections honor soldiers from the Civil War, World War I, World War II, Korea, and Vietnam
- Prominent family names include many of Bellevue's founding families and railroad-era industrialists
- Historical grave markers reflect changing trends in memorial art across 170+ years

Veterans Section
Civil War Veterans
Bellevue contributed soldiers to the Union cause in the Civil War. Many are buried in a designated veterans section of the cemetery. Some markers have been restored through the efforts of the Bellevue Historical Society and VFW Post 4458.
20th Century Veterans
Veterans from WWI, WWII, Korea, and Vietnam are honored in the cemetery with military grave markers. Memorial Day is observed with flag placement on veterans' graves by the VFW.
Flag Placement & Honors
The VFW Post 4458 and American Legion coordinate annual flag placement on veterans' graves for Memorial Day weekend. Community members are welcome to participate. Contact VFW Post 4458.
