Bellevue Community Theater (BCT)

Bellevue's home for live performance since the 1970s. We host an annual season of musicals, dramas, and original productions. Open auditions welcome community members of all experience levels to get involved, whether on stage or behind the scenes (set building, costumes, lighting, front-of-house).

A working community art studio open to students and artists of all levels. We offer classes in painting, drawing, pottery, and mixed media (weekday mornings, Saturday workshops). The adjacent gallery rotates exhibitions featuring the incredible work of local and regional artists.

Harriet Beecher Stowe Connection
Did you know? Harriet Beecher Stowe, author of Uncle Tom's Cabin, had significant Bellevue connections. Her father, Lyman Beecher, was a local minister. The Stowe Park honors this literary heritage.
Bellevue's Railroad Heritage
As a major railroad junction, Bellevue's history is deeply tied to the railroad era. The Norfolk Southern classification yard in Bellevue is one of the largest in the region.
